 SOLD!

Our only little girl was born at 3:07 weighing 12 oz. She was strong and healthy and has always been a quick learner. At four weeks, she is smaller than many of her brothers, now weighing 56 oz. Irish a a feminine looking creme beauty which we will likely keep to further our line.

We put sold on her picture just to make it clear that she's not available, but we have decided to keep this beautiful girl. If she passes all of her genetic testing, we will have puppies available from her in two years!

Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test Results

Irish's test results (five 3's, two 2's, two 6's) were a bit inconsistent and we will likely repeat the test for accuracy. She immediately came to the stranger and licked her and followed her as well. One of her 6's came when she walked away when being petted as an object in the distance caught her attention. She was the most active and energetic puppy in the testing procedure. She showed good retrieving skills, picking up the object and returning it to the tester. She showed low sensitivity to touch. She was curious enough about a strange sound to walk toward it without fear, but showed absolutely no interest in the strange object (open umbrella and pranced right past in on the way to something else that she was more interested in). Since we are keeping Irish, we feel that her results show that her high energy level is a good match to our active and large household. We are also planning to create an agility course on our property which she should enjoy.

Our little Irish is the epitome of the "gay spirited" description in the breed standard. She is a little tom boy who enjoys pouncing on her brothers. She showed an exceptionally sound temperament during testing: alert and calm and interested. She measures 13 inches high by 13 inches long - perfect. Her black pigment is striking against her fluffy crème fur. Irish shows only one flaw, which is that her tail bends too much over her back at times. Her tail is held very high and proud and the tip has the most tendency in the litter to bend over her back. It will be interesting to see if this changes as she grows. The only other score she earned below a 5 was for eyes not quite as oblique as say brother Finn. She has a lovely feminine face with low set ears. She is clearly breeding quality and will be our next breeding poodle if she passes all of her genetic testing.
