Clyde was born at 12:15. He was the biggest at birth at one full pound. At four weeks, he is still by far the biggest puppy and now tops the scales at a whopping 79 oz. befitting his name. Clyde is a crème puppy with darker ears. He is a gentle giant with a winning personality that immediately captures everyone's attention.
Clyde is 6 weeks old now and still the biggest pup in the litter. He's a lovely crème, with somewhat darker ears. Clyde is the only pup who has figured out how to climb over the barrier in the puppy nursery. He loves to pop over the top and come visit us. He loves to be with people. Clyde seems to have an even and confident temperament and would be a good choice for show/breeding, for a family with children, or any home where he will get lots and lots of the attention he craves.

Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test Results

Clyde's results (four 3's, two 4's, two 5's, one 1, one 2) indicate a friendly but laid back puppy, who wants attention but has no need to dominate. He came readily to our tester and followed her. He did not struggle at all when being held down or held in the air but stayed relaxed and accepted domination. He showed little interest in retrieving- he chased the object but did not bring it back to the tester. He showed a high tolerance to touch, which indicates that he is a pretty stoic guy. He stayed calm when exposed to strange sounds and sights with curiosity. This profile fits our experience with Clyde. He is one of the most social puppies in the litter, always trying to get to us and stay there. He seems far more interested in us than his littermates. Clyde needs a home where he will receive lots of attention. He would not be happy in a home where his owners are gone 40 hours a week. He wants to be a much loved companion and friend to his owner. He's moderately active. He would enjoy a fairly active lifestyle but could easily adapt to just being with his humans, as long as he has a fenced yard where he can run around. He would not be a good candidate for a hunting home, but might enjoy being shown as he could easily charm the judges, and he is just beautiful.

Puppy Puzzle Conformation results

Clyde continues to be a big boy and measured 13 1/2 inches tall by 13 1/2 inches in length. Clyde is just a bit on the thinner side right now, as he is growing so quickly. His fur has darkened just a little, and is a lovely crème with some natural shading and darker ears. The only weaknesses we noted in Clyde today, were that his eyes were just a tad on the round side of almond. We also gave him a 4 for straightness of his back legs as they were just slightly less straight than most of his littermates. His front legs were perfectly straight. His ears match the poodle standard exactly with his low set ears which hang close to his body. Clyde has one of the best ear sets in the litter and a lovely face and expression. Clyde tested a show/breeding quality and has the personality for the show ring.
